Die Welt reparieren

A new generation of Do-it-yourself activists uses the postfordistic city as a lab for social, political, ecological and aesthetic experiments. Whether in shard gardens or in Fab Labs, in open garages, in new rural-urban cooperations - protagonists everywhere question the relation of consume and products.

They do it, because they can, because they have fun by DIY, because an unsolved problem incites their ambition, because they want to create access. Their goal is to develop alternative roles for the consumer: through producing experimental, intervention, repair and change.

The ecological crisis, the resource crisis, but also through the economization of all areas of life a social crisis are the framed contexts in which the search for a repairing the world is manifested.
