Dorothee Hartinger

Dorothee Hartinger completed her acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. She was performing, amongst others, at the Münchner Kammerspielen, Salzburger Festspielen, Schauspiel Frankfurt and Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Since 2002 she is Ensemble Member at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In 2008 the Austrian artist Erwin Wurm made a portrait of Dorothee Hartinger for the portrait gallery in the Burgtheater. 2001 she received the German Critics Prize of Theatre for her performance as Gretchen in Peter Stein’s Faust. Currently, Dorothee Hartinger is working as an acting teacher at the (private) Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
