He has long been involved in research, teaching and management of finiteness, growth, politics, sustainability and meta-economic issues. Luks has produced numerous publications on these topics, including the books "The Future of Growth", "Finally in the Finite" and "Eco-Populism". Luks was chairman of the Association for Ecological Economy. He is currently head of the Competence Centre for Sustainability at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
