University professor at the Institute of Social Ecology (SEC) at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. Previously he worked at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt and as a researcher and lecturer at the Austrian Institute of Ecology. In his ongoing projects he focuses his research on society-nature interaction and sustainability, global production and land use, as well as climate change and bioenergy.
