David Fray
David Fray
David Fray is one of the top stars of the young generation of pianists. Born in Tarbes in 1981, the son of a Kant-and-Hegel researcher and a teacher (with Czech-Polish-Finnish roots), began playing the piano at the age of four. He completed his studies with Jacques Rouvier at the Conservatoire National Supérieure de Musique in Paris with honors. His career was promoted by such distinguished artists as Dmitri Bashkirov, Paul Badura-Skoda, Christoph Eschenbach and Pierre Boulez. Even though he discovered Bach for himself rather late, he is perhaps the most inspiring and original Bach player of his generation.
2019 at the GLOBART Academy he can be heard with the Goldberg-Variations for the first time. But be aware: no cough is tolerated during his concerts.
