Paul Chaim Eisenberg studied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Vienna. Afterwards he completed a rabbinical study program in Jerusalem. From 1983 until June 2016 he was chief rabbi of the Jewish Community Vienna (IKG). Since 1988 Eisenberg has been chief rabbi of the Federal Association of the Jewish Religious Communities Austria.
