After graduating from the Max Reinhardt Seminar, he went to Paris before enjoying great success at the Thalia Theater and at the Burgtheater. He became famous in theater circles in 2018 with his impromptu performance of JEDERMANN at the Salzburg Festival. Philipp Hochmair is a performer in numerous cinema and television films. Among others: Die Vaterlosen (Marie Kreutzer), Der Glanz des Tages (Tizza Covi, Rainer Frimmel), Die Auslöschung (Nikolaus Leytner), Kater (Händel Klaus) and Freud (Netflix). Die Vorstadtweiber (ORF/ARD series) - Minister Schnitzler, Blind ermittelt - Inspector Alexander Haller. In the TV series Charité he plays the forensic physician Prof. Dr. Otto Prokop. Most recently, he portrayed the leading role, Reinhard Heydrich in the film version of the Wannsee Conference.
