Dancing connects: way beyond social, cultural and linguistic barriers. The projects of Tanz die Toleranz enable new encounters. The rehearsal rooms allow for possibilities to communicate and interact with one another. People who otherwise would “live passing lives” can create moments of touch and feelings of interconnectedness through dance. The opening up of new horizons engenders novel ways of looking at the word and the people we encounter.

It is the central aim of Tanz die Toleranz to ensure that all people - independent of their talent, experience, age, gender, skin color, ethnicity or social background - are able to use dance as a form of artistic expression. As such, the social component plays an equally important role as the artistic one.
