Ulrike Guérot

Ulrike Guérot is a German political scientist and publicist. From 1992 to 1995 Guérot worked as a parliamentary assistant in the office of Karl Lamers, MP, by then spokesperson of the German Christian Democratic Party (CDU/CSU) for foreign affairs. In this period, she contributed to the so-called “Schäuble-Lamers” paper on core-Europe of 1994. She is Professor for European Policy and the Study of Democracy (DED) at the Danube University Krems, and the founder and director of the European Democracy Lab (EuDemLab) -  a think tank connected to the European School of Governance (EUSG) in Berlin. Guérot’s lifework revolves around the future prospects and success of the European integration process.
